MISSION AND VISION OF BIRDLIFE WESVAAL
BirdLife Wesvaal is affiliated to BirdLife South Africa and established in terms of the Constitutions of BirdLife South Africa.
MISSION
BirdLife Wesvaal strives to provide a welcoming home for birders of all ages, fostering a sense of camaraderie and discovery. Committed to create the opportunity for members to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature, and in so doing, to foster a passion for birdwatching and outdoor recreational activities.
VISION
- To actively encourage atlasing and bird ringing, by the club members, in order to contribute to the scientific data required for the conservation of birds and their habitats.
- To stimulate interest in and increase the knowledge of birds and birding in both the club members and the local community by organising knowledgeable speakers and interesting field trips.
- To foster a culture of environmental stewardship, in order to positively impact the well-being of our natural world for generations to come.
